The Greatest Learning Experience through COVID-19

I am sure there will be many learning lessons that come out of this post-COVID-19 situation. The world will be less pollution. Many will be looking for a new job. A hope that we all treat each other much better and more kind. The greatest learning lesson may be Self-Reflection. Yes, Self-Reflection instead of pointing fingers, outline what you want from where you are.
This may be the greatest opportunity to sit down in an empty room with a pen and paper. A simple 8 X 11.5 empty paper draws three equally distanced lines, top to bottom from the landscape view. First section outline:
My current situation:
- Current role/job
- Current relationship status
- Current frustrations
- Current limitations (School, certificate, etc.)
- Etc.
Second section outline: My Ideal Situation
Is it an entirely different career you’re working in retail but want to be a chef? Also maybe that you’re not in a relationship but want to or in one that is toxic and needs out. The clearer you are with this section the more you will realize when you achieve it you will truly know.
Last column outline: What do I need to cross the gap between current and an ideal situation
This is the plan from where you are to where you want to be. It will take work, it will take effort when you want to give up will be the closest to your goal-DON’T STOP; PUSH THROUGH. Many people fall short due to some resistance, a hill that they need to run up, an obstacle to jump to reach the finish line. PUSH THROUGH! A way to keep focused and inspired maybe creating a VISION BOARD, even a few posted in your office, your kitchen, and bathroom. They will remind you and with all the distractions will still remind you. Remember the saying-“Out of sight out of mind"?
It seems simple right, you would think more of us would do it. However, we complain about what we don’t have, where we aren’t in life, etc. Simple works and Simple is easy to remember and achievable once we clarify.
Remember when you point a finger there are three pointing back at you; fix inside before projecting outside.

4 年Just to look back when life is somewhat normal again and not regret that I didn’t make the most of the time. Continued education, writing, meditating, and most importantly taking the time to reconnect with people outside of texting. Cheers!
