We live in the midst of a crisis.
Now the word "crisis" has multiple definitions.
? A time of intense difficulty, trouble, or danger.
? A time when a difficult or important decision must be made
? The turning point of a disease when an important change takes place, indicating either recovery or death
In the case of what I am discussing, all three apply.
What is the crisis we are facing in our time?
It is a crisis of "Worth".
What I mean by this is what people are Worth, what "I" am Worth, and what "You" are Worth.
We don't teach people about their "Worth".
Because people don't understand their Worth, it is creating a time of intense difficulty, trouble, and danger.
So many are "seeking" their Worth in things - in others, in "Purpose", in deeds.
We think, "I am only "Worth" what I do for others."
We think, "I am only "Worth" what I do toward my Purpose."
We think, "I am only "Worth" what deeds I accomplish in life."
Then we seek - yet never find that "Worth".
We always fall short of what others expect.
We always fall short of our "Purpose".
We always fall short in our Deeds.
As it happens, we feel less "Worth".
However, this isn't the truth.
"Worth" is not something that you obtain.
It may feel difficult, but "Worth" is a decision.

It is an incredibly important decision we have to make.
Do I have "Worth"?
This isn't something we teach people, unfortunately.
We think we "Earn" this "Worth" somehow.
In reality, we are born with "Worth", there is nothing we need to do except that we need to accept "Worth".
However, when we don't understand this, it literally becomes a "Disease" in our lives.
? A Disorder of structure or function in a human... especially one that has a known cause and a distinctive group of symptoms, signs, or anatomical changes
When we do not believe we are of "Worth", all of these occur in us.
Symptoms include depression, anxiety, and lack of courage.
Signs include reclusing yourself from others or endlessly seeking more in an attempt to fill something.
Anatomical changes include stress, malnutrition (hurting our guts), hunching, and unnaturally showing emotions we are not feeling.
Those only are things I could think of at top of my head, however, the list goes much, much deeper.
If we make the decision to accept our "Worth", we can begin the road to recovery.
If we deny our "Worth", it is a short road to the death of our spirits.
However, as Leaders, we have an opportunity to utilize this to our advantage.
First, we must accept our own "Worth" and be Exemplars of feeling that "Worth".
Then, we have the ability to show this to those that we Lead.
Nearly every person feels these, and very few truly understand how much "Worth" they truly have.
As Leaders, we can help them see the "Worth" that has been there the entire time.
This is what Legendary Leaders do in the lives of those around them.
