Great Work Kylie!

Last evening, I had one of those occurences where you attend a learning event not knowing what to fully expect but expecting real value ... and then have that experience surpass expectations in simple, fundamental and powerful ways.

Attending the session, I was struck by her Devotion, Honesty, Zeal, Humility, Joyfulness and Excellence. It engaged, and it delivered... with content and real energy. I am big on the capacity to deliver; on leaving your mark. Kylie did that.

My Take Aways

I have been in this work for decades. I have real knowledge of the importance of story. I have access to many a story. I am an observer by nature, experience and training. I have had many mentors along the way that have helped me to deliver on genuine story. I am still, and will forever be, learning; as I was last evening. Still, I did not go into the session as novice, and I say that with true Humility. I know what I know and I know what I don't know... and I know there is much I don't know to even know. And, last evening I learned.

That being said, I walked away with real nuggets and gems. I walked away with reminders of the importance of trust being built in sharing and exchanging story... of the realization that few "out there" (and rightfully so) expect a magic pill... of arrogance shutting down the receptiveness of others... of the importance of likeable characters and the WHY. I was reminded of the beauty of comics in telling a story. The back story of heroes is important for us. I recalled Snape and Iron Man and Andy Grammer. I was reminded that stories can be any length, and that a genuine story can never be too long, but it can be too boring.

The time with Kylie in session was too short. The value was very high. Ultimately, I like what she is doing and how she is doing it. I admire that Devotion, Honesty, Zeal, Humility, Joyfulness and Excellence. I admire the Sincerity and Helpfulness and Creativity. And Wholeheartedness! I think her work is a wonderful example of how great leadership is great education and great education is great leadership. It cares, connects and contributes. It delivers.

For me, the professional marries purpose, passion, and practice. Kylie delivers on these. She is doing great work, for great reason ... and I suggest that you check her out.
