On March 28th 2017, Microsoft Taiwan has officially launched the chat-based workspace of Office 365, Microsoft Teams, which is built on four core promises: chat for today’s teams, a hub for teamwork, customization options and security teams trust. Its enterprise-level security is especially highlighted as opposed to its competitors like Slack or Line.
The press conference was led by Microsoft Taiwan GM Steven Shaw to elaborate Microsoft’s vision in digital transformation through releasing the results of Microsoft Asia Workplace 2020 Study to identify the changing work styles in Asia and top teamwork challenges faced by employees. To tackle those challenges, a collaboration platform like Microsoft Teams is a must to improve productivity with the utilization of emerging technologies to help build better work environments. This resonates with what CEO Satya Nadella says about productivity:
“As we think about the productivity, we think about people and teams of people, and what they achieve and accomplish together. This is the experience that truly empowers every team.” - Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella
The features of Microsoft Teams were also highlighted by Microsoft Taiwan Office Marketing BG Lead - Daniel Chang by using the preparation of the press conference as an example to show how effective teamwork can be even with multiple teams in different spaces and time zones; enterprises’ concerns like disconnected platforms, workflows or data and the worries of security threats or information leak have also been addressed by Microsoft’s Teams’ key values.
Taiwan Office Marketing Specialist - Ivy and Office Ambassador (intern) demonstrated Microsoft Teams key features thru retail scenarios. How to deal with customer's complaint, how to effectively have a meeting to solve the urgent issue and how to integrate all valuable information to train the retail store employees. They're very professional and it's amazed, they are only 23 years old.
The key values were summarized by Microsoft Taiwan M&O Lead - Naoyuki Isogai with “Why Microsoft Matters” in terms of putting AI to work to not only improve productivity but also accelerate decision-making processes in a more secure environment and finally to realize the vision of “AI democratization.”
p.s. Special thanks for Steven, Naoyuki, PR Sophia, Angela, DX Tom, EPG Misa, Willeam, CA Irene, OM Sophie, Ivy, Henry, Lisa, Rocky and Office Ambassadors to support this event!
