Great Taste Judging 2024

I spend Monday at the Guild of Fine Food in London judging some of the Great Taste entries for 2024. I judged with the fabulous Emily Quah, Karen Barnes [recently departed from Delicious Magazine]and Robin Sherriff from Koji Kitchen. A whole day of eating and drinking c.60 different foods certainly gave the taste buds a work out!

We tasted the amazing, the unusual, the sublime and the frankly not so gorgeous. Some existing categories, some twists on traditional categories and some completely new foods. Each food is tasted blind...no packaging or ingredient information, so its an interesting challenge.

We found one product which was worthy of the elusive 3-star award. Good luck to all the entrants this year. Results out early July.
