??? Spider Veins: More Than Just a Cosmetic Concern
As a vein specialist, I'm sure that you are always seeking the most effective treatments for your patients.
Recently, I stumbled upon a research paper that sparked my interest...
... but not for the reasons you might think.
It wasn't groundbreaking or innovative; instead, it highlighted the ongoing debate surrounding the best way to treat leg spider veins.
Now, you might be thinking, "Spider veins? Isn't that a simple fix?"
But the truth is, there's more to Microsclerotherapy than meets the eye.
The Controversies:
The paper I mentioned, "Treatment of lower limb telangiectasias with Nd: Yag 1064 nm laser with and without tumescent anesthesia – TTL technique", explored the use of lasers and local anaesthesia for spider vein removal.
While interesting, it led me to reflect on the controversies surrounding the gold standard treatment: MICROSCLEROTHERAPY.
Just a few weeks ago, fellow vein specialist Chris Pittman shared his preferred method for tackling these pesky veins: Foam Sclerotherapy.
He shared his technique in a live stream video which was both ENTERTAINING AND INFORMATIVE.

Personally, I find myself agreeing with Chris on several crucial points:

2 周microslerosis 1:1 ratio with polidocanol 0.125 excellent for telangiectasias. the 1:1 ratio is very important
