5 GREAT LESSONS FROM BEES

For starters, colonies of bees (beehive) are extraordinary organizational structures. They’re harmonious and efficient communities where teamwork reigns. Perhaps it’s safe to say that no organization has ever reached that level of team work.

While passing by countryside, I noticed a colony of bees and watched it carefully. Some kind of thoughts came into the mind and found some important lessons which I'd like to share with you guys.

1. LEADERSHIP: As you know, there are uncountable numbers of bees in a colony or hive. All bees are controlled, directed, motivated, coordinated and disciplined at their duty. What makes it so? Colonies have queen to which we say as a 'QUEEN BEE', without the bureaucracy or the dictatorship. The queen knows her role and she performs her duties without interfering with the work of her subjects. And although the bees depend on their queen, she still behaves as a servant to her hive. This is the RIGHT LEADERSHIP. Leadership is not all about demonstrating power.

 2. TEAMWORK: Whatever the honey is produced as a GOAL of bees, that comes as a result is because of their GREAT TEAMWORK. If we really need great result, it is only possible because of a great teamwork. It is said that talent wins the game and the teamwork wins championship. So, we need to build a GREAT TEAM.

3. HARD WORK: To need something, first you have to pay for it that is your hard work. The value of 'GETTING' is proportioned to 'GIVING'. As much you give so you receive. It is universal truth that nothing is gained unless you pay before. It is the based on the principle of 'GIVE & TAKE'!

4. DEDICATION: The bees justify us that you should be DEDICATED ON YOUR WORK. Unless there is a dedication of every member of team in an organization, there is not desired result. Surprisingly, I have to say that each bee has a great dedication towards their common goal. It is believed that a dedicated man is not moved, discouraged, depressed by any circumstance or negative situation. A common trait of successful persons is found their 'Dedication'.

5. PASSION: Bees encourage us that we must have PASSION IN OUR PROFESSION. People with great passion can make the impossible happen. Without passion, you won't succeed as per your desire. You must be passionate about your work. When your passion is blended with your profession, it becomes a 'MASTERPIECE'! As much as you are passionate about your work, so you can succeed.

At the end, it is safe to say that a successful organization is like a colony of bees – a well-structured entity with clear processes and talented contributors who work effectively together and produce great result.
