GREAT POST! How LinkedIn's redesign is not going the way it intended...

Successful marketing is not about meeting your client's goals, but exceeding them.
"Great Post!" - I'm sure by now many of you have had your InBoxes flooded with a multitude of messages saying, "Great Post!"
At first you may get excited - "Wow, that's great. People are really liking my shares. Score one for the engagement + column!"
Then you see the next person, and the next person, all saying the same thing.
But "Which post?" is great - the photo you shared, the Pulse entry, the status update with a link to a CNN article on the newest corporate merger?
Alas, far less exciting.
Apparently the recently relaunched LinkedIn app has included a button (that's not even connected to the 'LIKE' function) that when pressed sends this auto-generated response. And the kicker is the receiver has no idea to even which post they're referring to.
On top of this, many of you are likely to have noticed a ton of plain "Hi, John," etc., InMails since the mailbox redesign.
This is due to an auto-send function when you type your salutation and merely hit the "return" key.
Mind you, LinkedIn has never been much for beta testing of mass-change rollouts, (nor many other social media channels), but at this point, with the flood of junk we're receiving due at fault to 100% bad -- and dare I say SLOPPY -- coding, it's time they take notice, before we take our monthly $60 elsewhere.

9 年Great post! ~ seriously though I had quite a few of these after I published an article and found it odd. Literally thought it was SPAM. Then I found this. Hope they fix it.
