The Great Plant-based Con, a book about how Logic is thrown out from the window of a vehicle that’s heading towards a wall of climate crisis!
A book full with justification of greedy human behaviour written by Jayne Buxton

The Great Plant-based Con, a book about how Logic is thrown out from the window of a vehicle that’s heading towards a wall of climate crisis!

Logic thrown out from the window of a vehicle that’s heading towards a strong wall of climate crisis! And what happens to all the people sitting in this vehicle after believing to what Author Jayne Buxton has published in her book “The Great Plant-based Con”? When their wagon hits, they (those who believe in what’s written in the book) all die, a massive explosion of their vehicle will also kill the surrounding people (including non humans), the fire would burn the forests, and smoke in the air will render this planet unsustainable forever.?

Picture of Page 273 - desparate attempt to set flesh consumers, (not so) guilt free.

On page 273 she writes:?

“One way to reduce the volume of human-edible grains fed to animals would be to swap grain-fed chicken for grass-fed beef.”?

In the above two and half lines, author is asking to increase demand of a “product” derived from a mass population (of non human animals) who would use the water millions of litres, electricity for cold storage of products, fuel for transportation all required to process these “products” when our own species are struggling to get clean sanitation, how is this logical??This is purely spreading misinformation in desperation.

Fact:?

‘Only way’ to reduce the impact of animal agriculture is "STOP breeding” other species!!?

Swapping "grain fed chicken for grass-fed beef" is not a solution to any problem we are facing. Swapping all the "animal derived" products with whole foods ie "grains, nuts, legumes, puses, vegies, fruits, seeds" is the solution. Plant based junk food products are an aid in transition from flesh based to plant based. According to me PB burgers and other food can be compared those aids that help people in reducing their nicotine addiction. Eventually user quits all and transitions once they have gained control over addiction. All this is unnecessary if we think of animals as individuals.?

Towards the end of Page 273 she writes:

“Grain-free chickens are hard to find whereas grass-fed and finished beef is more widely available. And if you do eat pasture-raised beef, you know that you are not contributing to the continued destruction of the rainforest for the purpose of growing soya. You can also rest assured that you are eating food from a system that enhances biodiversity.”

Here, author is trying to give a “Guilt-free” angle by relating it to rainforest destruction due to Soya!?

My response:?

~ You are contributing not just to the continued destruction of the climate, but also to scarcity of resources leading to world hunger, not to forget the killing of a sentient being for the sake of our food. It was an entire life taken away, but for us, he/she was just a tasty meal.?

Pasture-raised beef, grain-fed chickens mean nothing to the victims. They all feel the same pain, the words "humanely Slaughtered" is used so we DONT FEEL GUILTY for our actions. It’s another marketing gimmick, like pasting graphic of a “happily lived individual” who suffered a gruesome “death” on a package that contains their flesh, stored in a refrigerator using excessive electricity.?

In future there will be laws where such authors will be charged not just for spreading misinformation but also for wasting paper, ink and readers time for publishing nonsense books.
