Kim Breiland (A.npn) is an unprecedented and incredibly caring leader you need to know. Superior operational acumen and strategic implementation creating and sustaining enduring social impact are among her hallmarks.?
Kim is a peerless champion of customer lifetime value who places people first in all endeavors. She demonstrates the best leadership attributes to which many aspire and so few achieve: a rare combination of art and science, empathy, learning, and tenacity. ?Recently, I had the privilege to ask Kim these questions, and I was inspired by her answers:
1. Why do you love what you do???
“I love what I do because it gives me the opportunity to empower businesses to thrive in a way that benefits both people and profits. Helping companies build sustainable, human-centered growth strategies creates a ripple effect that improves customer satisfaction, enhances employee engagement, and drives long-term success. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see the transformation that happens when businesses align their goals with positive customer experiences and robust systems. I get to help leaders create environments where people love to be, which ultimately leads to healthier, more profitable organizations.”?
2. What makes your mission unique??
“What makes my mission unique is the focus on neuroscience, human psychology, and a “People before Profits” philosophy. Many business strategies prioritize short-term financial gains, sometimes at the cost of customer trust, team morale, or long-term stability. My approach is different because I firmly believe that when businesses prioritize creating great experiences for both customers and employees, profits naturally follow. I focus on helping businesses build systems that nurture these relationships over time—whether it's streamlining customer service processes or developing a supportive workplace culture—because I see these as the true drivers of growth.”?

3. Who is the leader who has inspired you the most and why???
“Professionally, a leader who has inspired me is Howard Schultz, former CEO of Starbucks. He demonstrated how a company can grow while staying true to a mission of human connection. Schultz was committed to creating a "third place" where customers could feel comfortable, valued, and part of a community. Equally important, he showed that a company could invest heavily in its employees (like offering stock options and healthcare even for part-time workers) and still be financially successful. He exemplifies how a leader can put people first and still create enormous value, which aligns perfectly with my belief that people-centered businesses succeed in the long run.
Personally, the leader who inspires me the most is my husband, Mark Breiland, VP of Pricing & Inventory for Paramount Advertising. His commitment to supporting his team, openness to embracing challenges, and working together to benefit the greater good, as well as modeling how to achieve peak performance while still prioritizing his family, is something I deeply admire. Mark leads with empathy, transparency, and an unwavering work ethic, showing that true leadership is not just about driving results but also about uplifting those around you. His ability to balance high-level professional demands with a genuine dedication to family life sets a powerful example for how success can be achieved without compromising core values. His leadership has taught me that excellence is not just about what you accomplish, but how you inspire and serve others along the way.”?
4. What should leaders know about your vision or mission??
“My vision is to help business leaders realize that sustainable growth comes from a systems-driven approach that honors both the human and operational sides of the business. I want to support companies in building lasting success through processes that are as empathetic as they are efficient. When businesses focus on being the kind of place customers love to return to and employees love to work at, they’re building something far more valuable than just a revenue stream—they’re creating a legacy. My mission is to guide them in making that shift, ensuring that both people and profits can flourish together.”?
