Millions of jobs are going unfilled.
A recent report in The Wall Street Journal (that became a trending topic on LinkedIn) put it starkly:
"More than nine million Americans said in May that they wanted jobs and couldn’t find them. Companies said they had more than nine million jobs open that weren’t filled, a record high."
What is going on here? Why is it so tough to find workers despite a relatively high unemployment rate?
It seems like there are many reasons, with the pandemic and it knock-on effects being the prime cause.

3 年I’ve been wondering about this phenomenon! Here I am at 50 working TWO jobs to undo the financial mess Covid made of hospitality and youngsters getting hired, trained then quit!!! It’s like a merry go round. Plus trying to talk/train people through the masks is tiring. What a mess??
