**Eye Shadow Make up Tips**
Approaching a Make up counter with an abundance of eyes shadows is like walking into a sweetie shop as a kid! Here are some tips for applying your eyeshadow.
Choose a shades that will enhance your eye colour, Golds and brown eyeshadows tend to suit most eye colours, blue eyes suit pastel shades and brown eyes suit more bold colours. Always try before you buy to make sure your getting the colours that will best suit you.
If you want to achieve intensity using glitter or shimmer eyeshadow, dampen your eyeshadow brush with a small amount of water, dab off the excess, then load the product onto your brush and pat it on the eyelids. This will not only intensify your colour but will make your shadow last longer.
Applying an eye primer before your eyeshadow will also make your product last all day. If you don’t have a primer, using a small amount of foundation as a base will do the job!
To contour the eyes, use shades of brown/darker shades on the crease of the eyes, blend well with a blending brush into a lighter shade in the socket area.
When blending make small circular movements with your blending brush to soften the colour, this will make your eyes appear larger.
Darker colours should be applied to the eye line, outer corners and crease of your eye and lighter colours on the centre of the lid to help them stand out.
(Remember lighter shades brighten making the eyes appear bigger and darker shades will draw you to the area and will also make eye appear smaller.)
Highlight under your browser and in the inner corner of your eyes with a light shade to brighten and highlight your eyes.
To make the eyeshadow intense, apply a white eye pencil as a base for the eyeshadow, this will make the colour stand out.
For older skin avoid sparkle eyeshadows as this will enhance fine lines and wrinkles.
To give your eyes a youthful look, stick to soft Matt shades and soft smokey colours along the lash line, this will enhance your eyes and allow you to focus on the natural colour and shape, enhancing your natural beauty in the best way possible!
