We used to hear that great things wouldn’t last too long and better to stick to what is certain, predictable and comfortable. Or if you are well, enjoy it and don’t seek for better otherwise you may risk losing what you have and don’t often receive what you want. We fear that beneficial actions might go unappreciated or lead to additional responsibilities.
It’s easy to find a lot of society proof that these beliefs work and why we should chase illusion opportunities if we already have our own “good” which is familiar and safe? This is a great question!
Usually our thinking process tends to exaggerate potential negative scenario and its consequences if we go out of our comfort zone. Our fantasy goes miles ahead and gives us the worst-case scenario which role is to keep us away from potential failure and we abandon our great ideas behind.
It might be true but what if this comfort zone is not fulfilling anymore? What if we feel bored and unhappy?
We are experts of our life and nobody will make this decision for us. I believe we all have power to re-shape our life by changing our way of thinking and concentrating on success regardless potential obstacles on our way. It requires great self-awareness, knowing your identity and interests.
Here are my 5 empowering beliefs which drive me to get out from my comfort zone and to go for a greater things:
- “I make my goals so big that my problems seem insignificant in comparison”
- “Never ever I will have more perfect moment than now”
- “I will learn on my failures more on success”
- “I believe in my passion and value I create”
- “I am not perfect, but good enough”
