1 个月This is really interesting. For me, the best way to feel connected is when it's a real human to human interaction. A genuine connection over personal interests/hobbies/family/etc. Without it, it feels like I'm just talking to computers and AI all day.

1 个月As someone who was hired for a remote position and into a new company in the middle of COVID I definitely can relate. Our tech helps minimize the impact (dont know how I would survive without a DeskPro), but culture is also a big part of it. COVID put us head down and in meeting only mode. Some tips I employ: -> I prioritize calling people on Webex over sending messages to have make connections. -> I schedule regular catch-ups with peers. No agenda, just building connections and sharing. I think the one that is the toughest and has a cost involved, but absolutely required for true connection... Getting teams that are geographically spread out together in person. Personally I need more than the 1 time a year at our sales kick-off.
