In the mid-eighties, I had graduated from college and was looking for the perfect job. As a “filler” job, I became a waitress. I knew nothing about company culture, employee engagement or any of the other buzz words describing a great workplace at that time. And, as luck would have it, I was joining a company that was truly a “great place to work.”
This was a company full of highly engaged employees, both in the restaurants and in the “home office”. As team members, we were treated with respect, encouraged to build strong relationships with guests and team members and to always aim for the highest standards.
