A great bursary opportunity with StudyTrust!

Doing well in Mathematics and Physical Sciences at school is vital for learners who want to access tertiary education, particularly in STEM fields. For us at Siyavula, it's also important to highlight the opportunities that learners can access after school - and this was the impetus for partnering with organisations that offer career guidance, bursaries, scholarships, internships, training, and even job opportunities. Our partners are featured on our website under the banner "My Future".

We are thrilled to announce our latest partner: StudyTrust, an educational trust and public benefit organisation established in 1974, aimed at helping young people access tertiary education, acquire professional skills and gain employment.?

StudyTrust manages several bursary and scholarship programmes for South African and international companies, foundations, trusts and private donors. Among these is the First Rand Foundation Undergraduate Bursary Programme, which will fund scholarships for first year students in Commerce, Engineering, and Science and Technology degrees majoring in the following disciplines:

• Commerce: accounting, economics, financial management, law, risk.
• Engineering: all specialisations.
• Science:?actuarial science, agricultural sciences, biosciences, climate sciences, data science, electronics, environmental sciences, indigenous knowledge systems, mathematical sciences, physics, renewable energy, society and sustainability, statistics.
• Technology: business information systems, computer science, information management, information systems, information science, information technology.

We encourage our Grade 12 learners who meet the criteria to apply for this bursary programme as soon as possible. Applications close on Wednesday 30 November!
