A Great Anesthesiologist Is a Blessing

A great anesthesiologist is truly a blessing. Recently, I was reminded of the power of this when one of my daughters had major surgery performed and requested an incredible anesthesiologist who had been there for me over the last 15 years in addition to my daughter as well as my sister, Selma, during her years with Vital Options International.?Thank you, Michael W. Lew M.D. (City of Hope Medical Center), for the way you always communicate clearly, show compassion, along with being professional and highly skilled.

The field of anesthesiology is often overlooked by patients who are directly focused on the care by their primary surgeons, but anesthesiologists are truly unsung heroes who make a huge difference in the overall surgical experience.?They are the last person you see before you are unconscious and pain-free during the surgery, and often the first person you see as you gently wake up again.?We are lucky in the age we live in that this field has developed so drastically from a time where people once suffered in agony during medical procedures many years ago. Today, there are multiple medications and advanced technology to monitor the patient comfortably and efficiently.

As our daughter prepared for her recent surgery, our family implemented Debby’s 3 G’s – Get Informed, Get Organized, Get Moving!?.?We set up our communication plan so that our son-in-law sent me texts throughout and I was able to contact other family members.?We set this up in ADVANCE and implemented it during pre-surgery, surgery, post-surgery, and upon returning home.?This was done so that my daughter’s husband would have the least burden possible, and I set up everyone’s text numbers beforehand so it would all sync together smoothly.?I fielded all the questions and comments from family members after getting the status texts.

Being ORGANIZED reduces stress and makes it so your loved one can focus on HEALING!

Keeping an updated Chronological Health History, getting copies of your operative reports, and pulling information from all medical silos in one place gives you IMMEDIATE access 24/7 to all of the important information needed when handling an important surgery or any type of medical issue.?I have all of my vital information and precious memories securely stored and instantly available 24/7 from anywhere in the world thanks to Digital LifeCloud? (www.digitallifecloud.com). There is also a free downloadable Chronological Essential Health Information form on the site under the ‘Medical Records’ tab.

I am filled with so much gratitude and hope that I can inspire you to start getting ORGANIZED TODAY!

I hope 2022 is filled with joy and good health as we are successfully moving forward and away from COVID-19 lockdowns where all generations can reconnect once again.
