In the November Newsletter:
Can you feel it?
It’s the Christmas spirit emerging from its long hibernation.
As we move into a time of summer, festivities, and hopefully some relaxation, it’s a great time to press pause and reflect on what the year 2023 has delivered.
Many people I’ve spoken with have shared it’s been a bittersweet time, a year full of challenges alternating with some good times.
On a personal level, we have had to deal with significant loss: a parent, a dear friend and our beloved border terrier, Ellie, who lived to the ripe old age of 19 years.
As our vet said,?“You must have been doing something right for her to live so long!”
The highlights were that with work moving into the slow lane, there was more time for fun!
Like learning to kayak, spending time with my siblings in the UK, being the Maid-of-Honour for the wedding of some very dear friends, visiting Wanaka, our favourite place in the world, walking 20 km for Coastrek and travelling down part of the Canning Stock Route, one of the most remote roads in the world where the desert was green thanks to a recent cyclone and where we witnessed giant flocks of budgies, carpets of wildflowers, dingoes howling at night and wild camels hogging the dirt track, reluctant to let us pass.
Whether you’ve been dealing with loss or celebrating high spots, it’s about expressing gratitude for what we had, what we have and what we hope for.
What are you grateful for from the last 12 months, and what are you looking forward to?
I am especially grateful to my wonderful social media and content marketer Molly. We work so well together, and I love her ability to come up with a fresh perspective and new ideas for the business.
What's New for 2024
In 2024 I’m launching the?Thriving Minds Community?on Circle. This will be a one-stop hub where you can access the monthly Masterclasses, online courses and private online group coaching, and where you can ask questions and share your ideas and other resources.
We’re deliberately keeping the cost of joining the Community low, and you can choose what level of access you’d like to have.
We will be sending out the invitation to join the community in the New Year.
And there's more!
The 2024 Thriving Leader's Retreat is from May 20th?to 22nd?at 42 Acres Somerset
This dreamy location is the perfect backdrop for the 2024 retreat. Set in the beautiful Somerset countryside on 42 Acres , it provides the space, peace and quiet to enable you to unwind, disconnect from everything else and find the headspace needed to rest and restore.
The food is prepared onsite using ingredients sourced from the 42 Acres garden. Yum!
We understand that having your own space is important while on retreat so that you will have your own room for the two-night stay.
Places are capped at 10, which is the ideal number for meaningful conversations and discussions around key topics.
The small group size facilitates getting to know each other at a deeper level.
You will be provided with sufficient downtime as required, and there will also be a variety of small group activities on offer.
Our aim is for you to leave refreshed and crystal clear about WHAT you need to put in place to allow you to function at your best and importantly, HOW you will achieve this.
Following the retreat, we will also be running a session to review how the retreat went, what you loved, and what you wanted more of, and to ensure you have any remaining questions answered.
Registrations will be opening soon.
We’re delighted to offer the Super Early, Early Bird Price available until Jan 6th.
The Early Bird Price will be available until March 25th.
The Regular Price will remain in place until bookings close on May 5th.
(Please note prices will?not cover the cost of travel to and from the retreat)
To be the first to hear when registrations open, you can?send me an expression of interest here.
If you have any questions, I’m very happy to jump on a Zoom call to discuss.
And… the extra set of steak knives…
(or should it be goat cheese?)
My focus on 2024 is around sustainability through connection.
We live in a world marred by loneliness, mental illness, stress-related illness and burnout.
Essentially the way we are conducting our lives in many instances is UNSUSTAINABLE.
We’re making ourselves sadder and sicker.
But this can change by asking ourselves some of the harder questions and then putting into place those things, activities, or people who will support you to reconnect to what’s most important?and?walk with you on that journey.
That’s why I’ll be facilitating more live sessions, coaching more, and promoting sustainability based on lifestyle medicine principles.
I can’t wait to start and look forward to having your company in the Thriving Mind Community in 2024!
With very best wishes and deep gratitude for your continuing support. It means so much.
