Gratitude is the vitamin for the soul

Gratitude is the vitamin for the soul

We all agree that gratitude works really magically and trust me, if you have gratitude for the things which you have, you are living your life happily and peacefully. People suffer because they don't appreciate what they have in the present moment, they always want more, so this greed and always wanting more leads them to dissatisfaction, If you have gratitude for the things which you have, your happiness multiplies 1000 times. You feel happy and content, even if you start appreciating the things which you have in your life, you start getting lucky, on the other hand if you keep on cribbing about all the things which you have your life becomes dull and you fell stuck.

On the other hand the famous Lebanese poet and philosopher Kahlil Gibran writes in "The Prophet", that 'we should not be overly grateful as it creates imbalance." As a person who overdid gratitude in the past and I am the living proof that it does exactly that, causes imbalance and in some personalities creates a deepening sense of lack of self worth. Those who teach that we need to make gratitude lists have a point, but it must be tempered with common sense. If these lists are to avoid depression from a sense of lack of love or any material commodity then I do understand the need for them in moderation.

We seek balance in all aspects of our personality. To be totally ungrateful is an obnoxious quality. To be overly grateful for every tiny nuance of life is equally obnoxious. Equally there will be those who are grateful that we graced their lives even for a short time. Yes we are grateful for short mercies. We know we are grateful for our lives without going overboard when we are balanced and some of us who have had difficult or challenging times will be aware that life could have been much worse. Thank you God for everything… the good and the not so good, that’s my gratitude list, short and sweet.

Research has found that people who write a few sentences of gratitude for what they feel grateful for on a daily basis become more optimistic, energetic and happier. Also, they were found to be more generous toward others and suffered less from illnesses. Indeed, gratitude has an immense positive effect, and we would be wise to do such actions on mass scales: that entire countries would take a break for a few minutes in the middle of the day or twice a day, and each person would write positively about others, about what they are grateful to others for.

In short, gratitude is of utmost importance. When we speak favorably about others, and hear positive statements that others tell us, we infuse our lives with a positive energy that makes life happier and brighter. To be grateful or pay gratitude towards anyone is deeply and customarily linked with a big source of happiness. Gratitude is a great way of attitude. It definitely gives the positive emotions and releases the certain chemical which makes you feel positive. Trying once to be grateful about a single little thing. And you will start having the energy to spend the whole day with new feel of good emotions.

Gratitude makes your life simple but just start counting the blessings in your life… and it will start multiplying. And a person who is habitually grumpy always divides the opportunities in life. It has positive impact on physical as well as mental health which is just treated as a taboo and not considered to be dealt with patience and love. Start paying gratitude for what you have and you will start getting it more quantity. Why I said quantity? As people only thinks everything in numbers.

Start having a feeling of even having a life, at least you are breathing. You had food at night… or had conversation with your loved one. People even don't know how rich they are. Start appreciating and be grateful. You will feel the optimistic vision for life. It will increases your productivity. Gives positive impression on healthy lifestyle and great choices. Choice is ours what we want for ourselves. Decide and act accordingly. Cheers!
