Happy Thanksgiving Thursday, friends,

As we take a moment this week to reflect on all that we're thankful for, I wanted to share some of the things I'm especially grateful from this past year. I'm not gonna lie: it’s been a year of incredible change, growth, connection, and deep learning. And while it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, I want to acknowledge all the beautiful moments and blessings that have come my way—and encourage you to do the same.

This year, I’ve had the privilege of performing my music for amazing audiences, from intimate gatherings to large crowds at venues like DC9 and Pearl Street Warehouse. I even got to tick off some pretty epic ventures from my bucket list: performing at NAMM [the National American Music Merchants Festival] in LA to touring the country in partnership with Hard Rock Cafe... it's been a dream come true to have the opportunity to share my songs and messages with you — because each song that resonates with you serves as a reminder of why it is I do what the funk it is I do. Music, as many of you know, is medicine. It’s been a powerful tool in not only my personal healing but also in empowering others.

I’ve also had the joy of working with amazing teens, guiding them through songwriting to help them channel their emotions, find their voice, and build confidence. Whether through one-on-one coaching or group workshops at schools or online [yay virtual learning!], I’m beyond thankful for the opportunity to witness their growth and transformation. The energy and raw creativity they bring to each session is truly inspiring.

I’ve also had the privilege of collaborating with incredible organizations, helping companies and teams foster stronger relationships, improve communication, and enhance mental well-being. From stress management workshops to keynote speeches, I’m grateful for the ways I’ve been able to contribute to healthier, more positive work environments - even in non-traditional offsite endeavors in upstate New York!

But beyond the work I’ve done, I’m also thankful for the personal moments — the experiences that have filled me with gratitude, joy, and reflection. Whether it’s the beautiful relationship I have with my family both here in the States and abroad [I'm a child of the world!!], or the unforgettable adventure of my honeymoon in Fiji, where I got to see my Fijian family again, it’s the people and moments that remind me how truly blessed I am.

And now, as we move into this next chapter, I’m filled with excitement and gratitude for what’s to come. I’ve learned so much this year, and I know the best is yet to come. And here’s the thing — I want to share that journey with you.

If there’s anything I’ve learned this year, it’s that growth happens when we lean into the unknown, when we challenge ourselves, and when we’re open to new experiences. Whether it’s in your personal life, your business, or in your relationships, I believe that it’s the small, intentional actions we take every day that make the biggest impact. And as we reflect on the year, I encourage you to look at what you’ve accomplished, what you’ve overcome, and what you’re grateful for.

I’m deeply grateful for you, friends, — whether you’re one of my current students, a past client, or a new connection — and I’d love to keep supporting you as you continue your journey of growth and empowerment. So, as we enter this new season, if you’re ready to take that next step, whether it’s through vocal coaching, empowerment through songwriting, or even a workshop for your team or organization — I’m here for you.

This year has been filled with so many lessons, and I’m so thankful for the ways in which you’ve been a part of it. Here’s to more music, more growth, and more moments of gratitude.

Wishing you and yours a peaceful and joyful Thanksgiving.

Have an amazing day on purpose,

Emma G
