Gratitude Time - Thank you NPTEL and Learners who registered and to all those people who supported me/my work last 6 years.
Kartic Vaidyanathan
Founder @ LetUsPlayToLearn | Social Networking, Coaching & Mentoring | Guest Faculty, IIT Madras, PPD
A very very big thank you is due to so many people.
First almighty God, whose grace makes everything possible.
Next the people who believed in me OR the concept OR both and encouraged me starting with all my family members.
Next to my friends, mentors, well-wishers. Thanking in no specific order but whatever I can recollect.
Krishnan Narayanan who is a classmate, wonderful friend and mentor for me and many others and a guide and cheerleader for all that we do. In many many ways he has helped and this would need a separate post itself.
Sivakumar Srinivasan an amazing person who has created so many courses/programs for social emotional learning PPD stream at IIT Madras. This provided me and many of us to get back into teaching by giving us a platform
gk suraishkumar who was one of the first people who believed in the concept and allowed me and my student an opportunity to demonstrate games in classrooms for his BioTech classes and later had his TA learn and build games and actively use them as pedagogy
Preeti Aghalayam Unstinted support for 3 years in being a sponsor and co-facilitator for the elective LetsPlayToLearn for IITM students. We had loads of experiments in varied areas. Published articles in higher education newsletters, she actually tried a lot and found significant visible benefits and presented a paper at AIChE conference. This provided the platform for me to experiment and build on.
Students whom we got to teach this course were just awesome and made our journey memorable. We are still in touch with a few of them but would like to thank them through this forum N S Keerthi Sivapriya Vellaichamy Meghana Nasani Akhila Dharavath Harshitha Sri Boddeda Palak Singh Vaidehi Mishra and many many others.. This list also needs continuous updation.
Phanikumar Gandham for guiding me many times both during this video recording as well as with ideas/suggestions/opportunities. Extremely grateful for his info through which I got to attend G20 Education Meet last year. It was an eyeopener for me in terms of what is happening in education landscape across countries.
Heartfelt gratitude to the NPTEL team - specifically Lakshmi, Kirthika, Anupama, Bharathi for course coordination. Ravi and Karthik at NPTEL studios for continuous recording editing and refinement of the videos.
This NPTEL program was a dream for me and after 4 years it was made possible and grateful that it has reached 1000+ learners. Even if all of them might not have had time to do it fully, some of them do send their appreciations to me that they are finding it useful, which makes me feel happy.
Also grateful to many other supporters and well wishers outside of this ecosystem who were cheerleaders and bouncing boards at different times
Pravin Shekar Sukumar Rajagopal Ganapathi Subramaniam Chitra Balakrishna Ramesh Ramachandran Sriram Kalyanasundaram Guha R. Vaidyanathan Sivasubramanian
who have been supporters and cheerleaders.
Anuradha Prashant Dr.Kirupa Priyadarsini who are passionate about the topic with whom got to do a lot of FDP sessions
Dr Pratima Khandelwal who invited me to coauthor a chapter of a book on NEP2020 - Policy to Practice on the topic of gamification

The list goes on and on. I am sure I have missed a few (or even many). Will make sure to edit this blog and add their names as and when I remember.

Last but not the least (possibly most important) for all the 1000+ learners who took time to register for this 10 hour video course in addition to your regular work schedule. Your passion is deeply inspiring
Thank you very much to my TA Surbhi Garg who was very responsive and helped in several aspects of the course including reviews, transcripts, correcting errors and many other aspects without whose support this course would not have been possible
Grateful to almighty
