Gratitude to Shell and Amazing People Around !

14 years ago, this month July I joined Shell with deep aspirations and expectations to meet and work with world class scientists, technologists, engineers and leaders! When I got recruited in 2007, I was told by the HR my tag lines in the interview such as "Business through Science", "Working together with people for a good cause", "Solve problems together", "Safety", "Cleaner energy via digitalization" stood out in my case! I look back today and I see these things have never changed but have only become even more relevant!

Since the first day of this month, I have been sincerely contemplating writing an article that express sincere gratitude for the journey I have been through.

There has been immense number of opportunities to #learn, #change, #evolve, #worktogether #havefun and #grow! I have been also blessed to work with so many who provide unsolicited help and support when really needed! This stood out in my Shell career for me, and its time to thank those who genuinely help! There are so many of them!

While I pushed myself harder to truly generate value for Shell, I got all the #support, #cooperation and #empowerment I needed from so many teams in Shell! It is the strong #people-culture that is behind the success of Shell and employees!

There are a few #leaders and #friends who have retired from Shell but I strongly remember them and I am still inspired by them for their leadership and contributions to the community!

The factors that have helped us in the successful journey also includes #compassion #respect and #understanding from #co-workers, #collaborators, #stakeholders

I am also deeply benefitted via #psychological safety wherein we can #speak-up with respect, integrity and honesty, #intervene, #agree-to-disagree via #open and #honest #communications.

We constantly evaluate our strengths and weakness and being honest about it! This has immensely helped us in the journey together! example: #Passion vs Patience

All in all, the journey is enhanced by the positive values and day-by-day! I want to thank sincerely everyone who has been part of my journey, development. I prefer to not tag any because there are so many and I don't want to miss anyone inadvertently.
