Gratitude

As the year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the aspects of my life for which I am truly grateful. This year has unquestionably presented numerous challenges, both in my personal and professional spheres. These challenges have underscored the significance of having a supportive boss and team to achieve a work-life balance and maintain one's sanity amidst chaos.

Allow me to share a story. Throughout the year, my father experienced intermittent hospitalizations lasting over three months, coinciding with the launch of two major projects crucial to the business's core processes. In the midst of this, I found myself working in the hospital car park to ensure the seamless execution of these processes. During this challenging period, my supervisor demonstrated unparalleled understanding by shouldering half of my workload, allowing me to focus on attending to my family matters. She consistently ensured that I faced no undue pressure from work, significantly easing my work-life balance.

Simultaneously, my exceptional team, as mentioned earlier, played a pivotal role. Despite the critical nature of the two major projects going live, requiring substantial product support, my team worked diligently. They addressed every issue, from the smallest to the largest defect, exhibiting persistence, expertise, and unwavering support. Going above and beyond their job descriptions, they ensured that every aspect was meticulously taken care of.

For me, I am profoundly grateful to these individuals who have made me realize that it is the people who render work enjoyable and memorable. They are the true heroes, transforming colleagues into a family through the right connections and a special bond. I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to each and every one of you for being true friends who transcended the conventional role of "colleague."
