What are you grateful for today?
Gratitude is more than a passing feeling that we indulge in once a year. It’s a practice that can transform how we see the world and engage with it. It’s all too easy to focus on what’s wrong, what’s missing, or what could be better.
But what happens when we pause to lift our eyes to the hills, the sky, and the countless blessings surrounding us?
Gratitude fuels my work, which is loving the world and staying curious. It’s about learning to be astonished by the beauty and opportunities around us. Even in the face of challenges, there’s always something to be grateful for—a lesson, a moment of growth, or a step forward.
To cultivate gratitude, I encourage three steps:
Remember Your Successes: Keep a Gratitude List AND a Success Journal. Then share it with somebody else.? Ask them to catch you if you start to focus on the things you haven’t done. (Yet)? Take it in.
Let Go of Daily Regrets: Let go of what no longer serves you.? That To-Do list that didn’t get finished? You can’t go back in time and do it better.? You can only go forward.
Note the successes, whether large or small, and re-prioritize for tomorrow.
(This one is hard for me. I am SO used to focusing on the negative. Thank goodness for my accountability partner. She reminds me.)
Learn and Grow: Every experience, positive or negative, offers a chance to grow. It may take a while to be grateful for the tough times.? Talk to a friend who can remind you how far you have come.
Gratitude is a mindset.
Most of all, I’m grateful for friends, colleagues, and the meaningful work that challenges and inspires me. I’m especially grateful for my clients. Watching them grow, thrive, and soar is the ultimate reward, reminding me why I do what I do.

I work with high-level executive women who “have a seat at the table” but still aren’t listened to.? Thus, they see promotions and recognition go to louder, flashier people.? (Sometimes people they have trained.)
I help hundreds of leaders become Visible & Valued? so they get the raise, the promotion or the exciting new job that will give them the recognition they deserve.

3 个月Elizabeth Bachman, CPS you could not have put it any better: Gratitude is the foundation for resilience, creativity, and connection. Even the smallest thing is something to be grateful for and I think most people want something grandeur before they are grateful. Put all the little things together and it is grandeur! My simple thing that I am so very grateful for is the hugs, kisses & smiles from my grandsons!
