WELCOME TO THE LAST MONTH OF 2023!!
Hey guys i attended my second tech event, I remember talking about attending more events this year and i felt like it was too late based on the time i made such decision and i wasn't really sure i would attend one this year!
When you purpose in your heart to do something, i recommend you writing it down or telling someone about it because that helps to hold you accountable. I have done a lot of things that i didn't think i would do this year and it all started with one step. I'm grateful to God for
It's also my birthday month and i'm excited! I love December in general because of the songs, bonding time with family and friends. I look forward to attending a concert this month and also sign a few deals cause i'm no longer dreaming little like i used to. My weekend was packed so i couldn't drop this post on Friday.
HOW DO I GET SEEN?
Imagine a marketplace where every seller is shouting at the top of their voice to catch the attention of potential buyers and you are a seller too trying to get seen by the buyers instead of adding to the noise by shouting, What will you do?
Why not talk to those you have close contact with instead of adding to the chaos?, Go directly to people and talk to them. In the Linkedin space we have a lot of posts to consume from amazing creators and sometimes you wonder how you can get your potential clients to see you with just a post, Well you can do that by reaching out to people that fit into your idle client avatar, join audio rooms, make beautiful content and don't forget to make meaningful connections with people.
If you say you want to write for someone or a brand don't just join the crowd to keep shouting, you have an edge over them now that you know who you want to talk to so go straight to that person and sell yourself to them and how your services can benefit them or their brand.
P.S If you noticed i said ''Welcome to the last month of 2023'' not ''Happy new month'', That was intentional, in writing there is are different ways to say the same thing and get different reactions. How did that make you feel?

WHAT'S YOUR PLAN FOR DECEMBER?
It's the last month of the year but don't let them discourage you from trying to start something you have always wanted to do. It's not late (I mean what clock/time says you're too late or too early?).
Use this new month to make your plans so clear, write them out and create a daily to-do list that will move you closer to achieving it. I sent an email to a brand last month that i wanted to work with them and i got an email just this month asking about my services and all, So imagine i didn't send it last month and thought they might not reply cause i wasn't yet a full blown content creator?
I would have just missed out on being seen, So today i urge you to do that which has been in your mind and wait for the result.
December is going to be either productive or unproductive depending on what you do or don't do so make a choice.
This wasn't me a year ago i was killing my dreams with negative thoughts but now i just do it afraid or not cause life will go the way we tell it to go, we have that power we just don't know it.
My name is Joy and in just 4 months of making a decision to not let fear hold me down,
And there is still a lot of good things to happen this new month

11 个月Love this tip Joy Fashagba. This might take effort, but it is the best work we can do. I've used this technique to master my mind. When a negative thought comes in, I ask myself does it take me towards my life vision and purpose, if not I just say I'm not giving you any more time.

But you forget one thing that everything comes with a balance Time to win and time to loose The bad times will come and go and it will come again, and the good times will also come and go, and it will come again.
