Gratitude to God - Smuv is 1 today

This post is to show gratitude to God almighty and the clients we've worked with since the beginning of the year.

Smuv is a year old today but while we are celebrating our little achievement so far, we are looking back at the day we launched, the times we had to beg companies and individuals to trust our process and delivery, and the sleepless nights I spent with my co-founder, Light Nduka drafting proposals no one would accept.

This speech may seem quite too early to some people or come off as bragging. Well, only if you understood how hard we've worked and what we've achieved since the last 8 months to the month we had the first client that accidentally reached out to us. . . And since then, the rest has been our little history.

So far, we've grown from a two-partner team to a 5 person remote team, with 3 full-time employees. We've piloted our revenue from zero naira on the first month of launch, to a lot more "consistent zeros" for the past 6 months.

Constantly getting 60-65 percent of our monthly clients coming from other African countries, Canada, Europe and the USA and we've built a sustainable revenue model that will see us through any trying time.

We are currently "working for" a popular supermarket chain with stores across Nigeria, though I will have to talk less on this as the client demands.

2020 for so many reasons, should be recorded as the worst year in history, in my opinion. At least if not for the rest of the world, arguably the worst year for Nigeria. But amidst the crisis, I and Light managed to pull through.
