Last week I had the pleasure to interview Lori Saitz who is a Transformative Meditation Coach, she is also the CEO of Zen Rabbit. Zen Rabbit is a professional training and coaching company that focuses on transforming teams from anxious and overwhelmed to grounded and focused. I first met Lori at a networking event, and I was fortunate enough to hear her speak about her experience as well as how gratitude changed her life. Prior to meeting Lori, I hadn't put much thought into gratitude and the resonating power it has. Lori helped shape my perception of gratitude and ultimately changed my viewpoint on what it means to be grateful and why it is important.
Lori introduced me to the book The Science of Getting Rich which I highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their life and obtain financial abundance. The book was originally published in 1910 but is still incredibly relevant today. Prior to reading this book I had never thought about correlations between gratitude and financial abundance. After reading the book multiple times, I now view wealth as an energy exchange that works to benefit all. I see wealth as obtainable and no longer view any goal as unachievable. My personal, professional and financial goals have shifted drastically, and my mindset has changed from being limited to limitless. The power of knowledge and the transformational impact it has on our lives cannot be understated. Mindset is a game-changer and by shaping it you begin to see everything as an opportunity for growth.
Lessons I learned from our talk:
1.) Don't be grateful things aren't worse. There is no need to ever think things could get worse or that any situation is permanent. Have a genuine joy for what you have and keep the vision and faith that your situation will improve. Focus on what you have in your life now that you are grateful for instead of thinking it could get worse.
2.) Everything you want is already yours. You have to focus your vision, have faith and ask generously. It is foolish to ask for only what you think you need, you deserve much more. However, you cannot wait for things to come to you, you must take initiative. You must act in order to receive what you want.?
"By thought the thing you want is brought to you; by action you receive it." (Wattles, 1910)
3.) Energy attracts like energy. If you are constantly thinking negative thoughts and complaining, you will attract more of that energy into your life. You will see situations as fixed and believe opportunities and success are for other people to enjoy. These things will begin to seem unattainable for you and because of this you will not peruse the right opportunities. No matter where you are in life, the energy we put out is reciprocated back to us. Choose to attract the right kind of energy into your life by being intentional and deliberate with your thoughts and actions.
4.) Are you complaining or criticizing? If so, stop it! Every time you complain you are setting yourself back and you are focusing your energy on something that is not getting you closer to your goals and vision. When you feel the urge to complain, redirect your energy towards the possible opportunities within the situation instead of focusing on the negative.
5.) It's not our job to figure out the how. Our job is to figure out what we like, what makes us passionate, what inspires us and what drives us. This leads us to finding our unique purpose and helps us grow.
Did this newsletter help shape your point of view? I love to hear from my followers so let me know how this added value to your life. Growth is good.

2 年Having a mindset of GRATITUDE has improved my life dramatically! The things we say to ourselves have a much larger impact than any outside voice. Being grateful starts as simply as calling out "thank you for waking me up today", to whatever higher power you have in your life.

2 年Tara LaFon Gooch, MBA This was a beautiful article. I have started to journal every morning about gratitude and abundance and thanking God for the abundance that is coming. If you can’t be grateful for what you have, how can you expect to be blessed with more? It starts my day with happiness because I choose to be happy despite what is going on around me. And the. I focus on intent. Am I concentrating on the tasks that will grow my business? It’s usually a no, because I spend so much time in doing tasks that I really should get a VA and let her handle those tasks. In due time, I will get there
