Gratitude doesn't go far enough...

Grateful – it’s the first word that comes to mind and it is the basis of how I feel, and yet it doesn’t go far enough to describe the feeling I have when I reflect on our ability to support the mission of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) at the Annual Race Day on Sunday!  

My family and I set a stretch goal – to raise $20,000 for the MMRF in honor of Ardy, my late wife. It was more than double the goal we set last year. I’m happy to announce that we surpassed that goal and we had 58 walkers at the event last Sunday – more than ever! It was icing on the cake that they presented the Ardy Germann Team with both Top Fundraising Team and Biggest Team Award for the Twin Cities Race!

We, again, give thanks to friends, families and colleagues for opening their hearts and checkbooks to support the MMRF! Their generosity will have a direct impact on families and patients who have been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. As I look at these pictures and think about how I felt, surrounded by people who care about Ardy and our family – I know her legacy will live on in their hearts as strongly as it does mine. I also want to show my great appreciation for my kids, their spouses, and especially my wife Elizabeth – their shared vision in how to achieve this goal, as well as their hard work, helped achieved this success that I am so fortunate to share with you today! I can’t say it enough – THANK YOU!

And now we look forward to next year – and I’ve already started thinking about how we can make an even bigger impact for these patients and their families – we hope you will be a part of the Ardy Germann Team in 2020!
