Gratitude Changes Everything
Gratitude changes everything. Think about it, when you focus on all the good things you have been blessed with and are grateful, how does your mood change? What about when you are focused on problems or not having enough?
Gratitude is important in all of our relationships.
grat·i·tude
/?ɡrad??t(y)o?od/
noun
the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
"she expressed her gratitude to the committee for their support"
Here is a great article with ideas on simple ways to show gratitude.
As a Christian, my gratitude begins with how thankful I am for Jesus taking my place and paying by debt in full. When I live out of that place of gratitude how I interact with others changes.
When I have gratitude in my thoughts and actions towards myself then I am more able to do the same with others.
It's also important to understand how showing intentional acts of loving kindness can be just as powerful as gratitude. Most people call them random acts of kindness but I like “intentional” and “loving” added in because it represents the heart of the situation better.
Take a moment to think of a way that you can show gratitude to God, yourself and others today and then take action. I’d love to hear what you decided to do.
One act of gratitude can send a ripple effect around the world. Let the gratitude ripple begin with you.
