Cancer is something none of us want to deal with, and neither is diabetes, high blood pressure or any other disease / ailment. What I've learned is that you've got to focus on the solution and not the overall problem. If you learn to look at the solution as a step by step process, your perception and outcome will be totally different.
Give yourself a chance to breathe. Don't be overwhelmed because your goals, dreams and intentions are attainable. The why me approach has a tendency to make every step in the process a struggle. The what did I do to deserve this approach won't help you either. It should be about how can I get through this one step at a time and either win big or enjoy what I've got left.
Just because you've been diagnosed it doesn't mean that you have to resign yourself to a life of misery and sadness. It's always important to be thankful for what you have. I'm talking about all of the big things and the little things also. It has been said that if we aren't grateful and use wisdom over the things we have, we shouldn't expect to have more (to whom much is given, much is required).
There are a lot of things that are still pending in your life. We still have goals, we still have love and we still have clients with transactions to be completed. I'm sure there is still gas in the car. So let me share with you how I've done it. I got real with myself. I decided that since I was still breathing why not continue doing what I was doing before the diagnosis.
I knew that I wanted to write books at this point, I knew that I wanted to speak and be a voice for the voiceless and that is exactly what I did. I spoke all around the world continuing to gain influence and add credibility to my business. All of a sudden "voila" here I am and that's the same thing you can do!
Do it anyway! Whatever your thing is...go ahead and throw yourself into it! It's not always about finances, sometime you just need something else to attach yourself to.
