Be Grateful Today
Be grateful today, for today is all we can experience now. As we sit around the Thanksgiving table, surrounded by loved ones and family members, or eat alone in a diner amid other solitary travelers, for this one time, we give thanks for everything good that we already have.
?
“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.” – Eckhart Tolle.
?
Today is a time for reflection and gratitude. That’s why we must be grateful today.
While there is much still to do, many things to change, and goals to pursue, today is an opportunity to hit the pause button. Slow the ever-forward momentum. Please take a deep breath and muse about the good in our lives.
While the world is full of turmoil, wars rage, protests abound, and civil and political uncertainty continues, we still have much for which to be grateful today.
Reflect for a moment on our personal gifts. This is what matters most at Thanksgiving.
This is the day we spend with those closest to us -- if we have the luxury of doing so and are not separated by time and geography or unreconciled rifts.

How and Why I Choose to Be Grateful Today
In this spirit, I offer my heartfelt message of gratitude. Here’s how and why I choose to be grateful today.
·?????? I’m thankful for my health and that of my loved ones and family members.
·?????? Thank you, God, for the gift of creativity and the boundless enthusiasm that motivates me to share what I can with others through my words. I hope to inspire, help them heal, and feel peace and fulfillment.
·?????? I’m not only grateful for the bounty of our family’s Thanksgiving feast but also reminded that my donation to help feed those in need will bring some joy to others as well.
·?????? What makes this day like no other is the opportunity to listen to what others say, engage in casual conversation, and call loved ones at far-flung parts of the country or opposite ends of the state. Yes, we expect to do this. Yet there’s tremendous significance and value in genuine communication.
·?????? Remember that we’re all in this together. We are one world of people with many different viewpoints, but we’re all part of humanity. On this day, as individuals and society, we can and must set aside our pettiness and hostilities and begin to work together to ensure a deep and lasting peace. To the extent that this is an ongoing process, we must always seek to find common ground, bridge the divide, and bring harmony to the world.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
