I'm not very good at looking back. The trap is remembering the bad things and not appreciating the good.
20 years ago, I became a new business owner after my career had been derailed for half a decade.
"I don't want to die." I still mourned my father's early death, but irrationally just knew I was meant to do more.
Negative net worth. No savings. No retirement.
All I had was brains and will. The worst thing that could happen is I could get rich or die trying.
Especially after hearing the Morpheus speech and the line, "We are not afraid!!"
Today I stop to be thankful that I have a wonderful life living like I could only once dream with the major problem of taxes.
5 years after the Matrix, I'm sure Laurence Fishburne wondered if the Matrix Reloaded sequel would be relevant and 20 years later the franchise is going strong.
Daily Mission:?Look back 20 years and see how far you've come.
