Grateful For Our Generous Community
This Giving Tuesday , we’d like to extend our gratitude to the Girls Who Invest community. We’re grateful for our entire ecosystem, made up of brilliant individuals, from our scholars, who will soon become the next generation of leaders, to our alumni, who continue to challenge the status quo, and to the trailblazing industry leaders, who serve as dedicated Ambassadors.?
Last but not least, we’re grateful for our financial supporters, who make our mission possible day in and day out. We thank you all for your commitment to helping us achieve our vision of changing the face of investing.
To best illustrate the powerful impact of our community, we’re passing the mic to our scholars, who continually inspire us. We’re excited to feature excerpts below from GWI alum as they shared why they’re #GratefulforGWI following the 2022 Summer Intensive Program.?
“As we progress in our careers, we need to make room for other women and ensure that their career progression will be easier than ours. Let us take all the information we learned, the friendships we’ve created, and the values we hold dear to our hearts, to transform the world of finance for women, as women belong in decision making rooms.” - Emma Bucaj, Class of 2022, at the 2022 SIP Graduation Ceremony?
My life goal is to become an advocate for others and show the world that limitations are only set by one's mindset. Girls Who Invest was able to get me one step closer to this goal through their strong sense of community and embracement of diversity. In a few short weeks, I’ve already become part of this strong community. A community where I feel safe, appreciated and encouraged. A community where I can express my interests and passions freely and have other women relate to me and support me. I’ve been surrounded by so many bright and talented women eager to make a positive difference in this world and truly change the face of investing.” - Karla Rivera, Class of 2022, at the 2022 Bloomberg x SIP Event?
“I knew that if I got into this program that it would provide me with the proper training that I needed in order to excel in the finance industry, but little did I know that I would have the honor of meeting the smartest, sweetest, and funniest girls I’ve ever met.”? - Chidinma Chigozie-Nwosu, Class of 2022, at the 2022 SIP Graduation Ceremony?
“...every single class is an opportunity to build confidence. Confidence to ask questions, confidence in our skillset, but most importantly confidence to disprove anyone who doubts us. I’d like to end off by highlighting a quote one of my fellow scholars mentioned all the time in class, and dare I say it kept me going. It’s as follows, ‘Whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right.’ The classes we attended, taught by our amazing faculty, have allowed me and all the other young women in this room to not only think that we can, but to know that we can, and for that, I will be forever grateful.” - Flavia Carcani, Class of 2022, at the 2022 SIP Graduation Ceremony?
