Grateful...

As I sit here after reading a few verses from the book " Little Book of Prayers" to our 9 month old daughter and watching my wife slowly rock her to sleep. I think to myself, thank you! Thank you so very much!

These precious moments are what it's all about, there is a passage called "A blessing for my family" It goes like this, Dear God, please bless my family. Bless them with love from You and me. Bless mommy and daddy, sisters and brothers, aunts and uncles, cousins and others. God, bless grandmas and grandpas too. And God, if you will, bless me too! John 13:34.

Every night my wife and I take turns reading several passages from this book to our daughter and it's what I most look forward to during my day. No matter how the day went it all falls to the side when we enter into her room and come together as a family.

Now obviously our daughter doesn't understand at this moment in time, but I hope that she can at the very least realize and take comfort from the fact we are all there together as one. Nurturing her childhood with positive influences and molding her character so she can one day experience the same joy and with God's grace do the same.
