GRAPHIC TRENDS FOR 2018

And this is crucial to anyone with a business. In layman’s term, it’s the face of your business and how it is perceived by your soon to be clients or your current clients.
Like fashion, graphic designs have its own trends too. These designs and trends change fast, although it has been known that there are some old designs that have been tried and tested in time.
Well for 2018 there are a lot of old and new designs that are trending that you can see in most designs. TYPOGRAPHY still rules in 2018!
What is typography you say? Well as what any dictionary would say typography is about the design of a writing in any given material, may it be on a t-shirt, computer or a piece of paper or it could be your company’s logo. There are different kinds of typography namely:
CREATIVE TYPOGRAPHY
- This old trend has been used ever since but still works wonders on any given materials. This is a technique that can be combined or can be used solely in design.
CROPPED TYPOGRAPHY
- This is the art of erasing parts of a letter but making sure that the message conveyed is still readable.
CHAOTIC TYPOGRAPHY
- As its title says, there is no alignment it has an unconventional order of letters and words. This is a playful and engaging way of conveying your message across.
REAL LIFE TYPOGRAPHY
- This is another way of incorporating elements of your letters and/or words combined. Normally they would use real live objects against the letters that are being used in the composition.
NEGATIVE SPACE DESIGN
Is another trend that uses a blank space to create a distinctive shape or form. This is a technique that evokes a positive emotion regardless of what it is called. This is known as one of the leading trends of 2018.
NEGATIVE SPACE TYPOGRAPHY
This is a combination of negative space and typography. The elements at the back of the composition come to the forefront of the design.
BRIGHT COLORS ARE IN!!
COLORFUL 3D SUBSTANCE
- This is considered one of the strongest design trends for 2018 which could still spill over to 2019. A combination of 3D composition and bright colors making your design pop is what most sought after designs that a client would want.
ONE COLOR 3D DESIGN
- This trends composition is a one color design with a pop up 3D effect. Often used in product branding.
METALLIC
- This design incorporates metallic elements in a composition.
COLOR TRANSITION
- When Instagram started using this design no one thought this would be a hit. So now there are more designers using this kind of composition since it has been hugely trending since 2017.
HAND DRAWN ILLUSTRATION
This design can never go out of style. This is one of the most sought-after designs because it is a piece of art.
ILLUSTRATIONS OVER PHOTOS
This design speaks for itself and this is a very nice way of combining 2 mediums, photography and digital designing to enhance each photograph.
PAPERCUT ILLUSTRATION
We use papercut art to create a composition. They use multiple layers in creating the depth and texture of the design.
