Design Systems

In this course, students build a design system by extending their designs and visual style to other products while keeping the cross-platform experience consistent. This course counts toward the?Web Design Certificate.

Interactive Typography

In this course, students learn how to create beautiful type with CSS animations, when to use variable fonts, how to specify px, pt, sp or dp, and more. At the end of the course, students will have projects prototyped in code and a prototyping app. This course counts toward the?Web Design Certificate.

Storytelling with Motion Graphics and Animation

This concept-based course teaches the language of time-based storytelling, with a focus on the skills needed to build a strong drama and highly effective visuals for use in film, video, and digital motion projects. Students will gain an understanding of how motion graphics are created from the concept through all stages to the final finished clip or film. This course counts toward the?Motion Design and Animation Certificate.

Usability Testing & Evaluation

In this course, students will learn about the concepts underlying usability testing to generate guidance for creating more usable websites and apps. Students will practice the usability testing process of defining a test goal, creating a test plan, defining testing tasks and analyzing usability test results. This course is the fourth course in the?User-Centered Design (UX/UI) Certificate.

SketchUp

This course centers around the SketchUp software, its history, and its context within design industries, and will focus on acquiring the technical skills required to create realistic three-dimensional models. Learn how to build surfaces, volumes, objects, and spaces, how to produce technical and scaled architectural drawings, and how to produce photo-realistic renderings. This course counts toward the?Interior and Architectural Design Software?and?Interior Design?certificates.
