Hi there,

Interesting data on how people view the credibility of various news sources. MSNBC > National Public Radio? Wouldn't have guessed that.

Synthetic breakdown

We analyzed where the deals are happening within synthetic biology. The therapeutics space saw 45 deals since 2012. It's also the largest category in our analysis.

What's it like to work at CB Insights?

I know you've been dying to know.

This is a great article that describes what it's like working at the "company predicting the future of tech."

And I love this picture of the team below so I included it.

Secretary of Treasury in the house

I'm excited to announce that Robert E. Rubin, former Secretary of Treasury, and co-chair of the Council on Foreign Relations will be joining us at The Future of Fintech Conference at Lincoln Center this June. Mr. Rubin has also served as vice chairman of Goldman Sachs.

We'll be talking with him about regulatory reform as well as economic growth and policy and their broader implications for financial services.

Thanks to our friends at Centerview Partners for helping to make this happen.

Get your tickets today. In addition to Mr. Rubin, we've got the CEOs of 6 unicorns, Sequoia Capital, and C-level execs from several publicly-traded fintech companies.

Startups on the reg

We analyzed regtech startups that have raised equity funding from 2012-2017 year-to-date and identified geographic trends within the space. The US was the dominant country for regtech startup financing during that time period by far, accounting for 78% of deals.

Tweet of the day

This was too good not to share.

Smart money in sales

We looked at how smart money VC activity has trended in the sales tech space and mapped out startup/investor relationships. True Ventures was the top smart money VC with investments to 7 distinct companies between 2012 and 2016.

The Industry Standard

CB Insights data is the most trusted by those in the industry and the media. A few recent hits.

Forbes. Madhvi Mavadiya (@madhvimavadiya) reports on the German fintech scene and cites CB Insights investment data.

Fast Company. Christina Farr writes about how Sherpaa survived venture capital's expectations and quotes CB Insights analyst Nikhil Krishnan on the subject.

Silicon Republic. John Kennedy writes about IndieBio's investment in synthetic biology startups and refers to CB Insights research on active investors in the space.

The Times of Israel. Shoshanna Solomon dives into Intel's acquisition of Mobileye and quotes CB Insights senior analyst Kerry Wu on the subject.

I love you.

I think you totally missed the point. Who owns and runs these propaganda machines is the forgotten question. NONE OF IT IS NEWS. Fake "news" = claiming CO2 is a pollutant and causes climate change, promoting vaccine efficacy and safety when entirely unqualified to do so, and denying #pizzagate as a real story (1,500 pedophiles have been busted since J20).
