Grant: Inclusive Community Grants (ICG) Program.

Funder and Geography: Ontario Government - Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility- Canada: Ontario

Who can apply

Eligible applicants may be:

1. Local governments:

- Municipalities

- District Social Services Administration Boards

- Local conservation authorities

2. Community Organizations:

- Be not-for-profit

- Be legal entities

- Have been in operation for at least one year prior to application

3. Indigenous Communities:

- First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities and/or organizations

Amount of Funding

Grants of up to $60,000 each are available to eligible applicants.

Grant objectives

The Inclusive Community Grants Program funds projects that:

?Increase accessibility to outdoor spaces to improve older adults and people with disabilities community engagement.

?Enhance the supply of accessible and attainable housing to support older adults and people with disabilities to age in place.

?Increase the number of inclusive communities by developing Age-Friendly Community (AFC) plans that support long-term community planning to address the needs of older adults and people with disabilities.

Deadline

Deadline: 04/20/23 5:00 PM EST

You must submit your application by April 20, 2023, at 5 p.m. EST.

All applicants will receive a decision regarding their application during the summer of 2023.

Grant: Community Initiatives Program (CIP) Project-Based Grant

Funder and Geography: Government of Alberta - Community Grants Unit- Canada: Alberta.

Who can apply:

The following organizations and community nonprofit organizations can apply for this program:

A registered community nonprofit organization in Alberta (and in good standing) under one of these Acts:

Provincial Legislation

- Agriculture Societies Act

- Part 21 of the Business Corporations Act - Extra-Provincial Corporations

- Companies Act, Part 9 (Nonprofit Companies)

- Libraries Act

- School Act

- Societies Act

-Special Act of the Alberta Legislature

First Nations and Metis Settlements

-- Foundations established and regulated under the province’s Regional Health Authorities Act

-- Universities, colleges, and institutes as defined under Alberta’s Post-secondary Learning Act

Organizations must have an Alberta-based address which must be regularly monitored by an active member of the organization.

Amount of Funding:

The maximum funding available is $75,000.

Grant objectives

?New Program/Enhancement to an existing program:

Wages for new positions, office space rentals, database software and hardware, program materials and resources, etc.

?Community events: festivals/theatre productions/films/exhibits/ symposiums/workshops:

Venue rentals, catering, communications, marketing, keynote speakers, etc.

?Technology: Audio/visual equipment, projection screens for office/meeting rooms, computer hardware, software, etc.

?Portable Equipment: Licensed vehicles, team uniforms/equipment, furnishings such as computer desks, meeting tables, office chairs, public area furnishings, etc.

?Gender Equity Projects: Facilitators/Speakers, venue rentals, new program costs as above, etc.?

Deadline

Annual application deadlines:

- January 15

- May 15

- September 15

The review and decision-making process takes approximately five to six months. The notification period for the CIP Project-Based is as follows:

- July (January 15 deadline)

- November (May 15 deadline)

- March (September 15 deadline)

Grant: Community Grant - Renewable Energy Fund Grant

Funder and Geography: Loyalist Township - Renewable Energy Fund, Windlectric Inc, and Kingston Solar GP Inc- Canada: Ontario.

Who can apply

Applicants, except for local elementary and secondary schools, must be community groups and organizations.

Amount of Funding:

?A maximum of $5,000 per organization per year has been established for financial

contributions or 75% of expenditures, whichever is less. Exceptions to this guideline

may be considered at Council’s discretion.

?A maximum of $2,500 per organization has been established for in-kind services.

In-kind support will be limited to the use of Municipal property at reduced or no cost,

municipal staff support and loan of municipal equipment. In-kind support will not include

permit fees (i.e., building permits, etc.), equipment rental fees or payment of

invoices/services. Any refundable deposits (i.e., damage deposits) will not be waived. At

the discretion of staff, organizations may be required to provide volunteer support to

assist staff when in-kind services are granted and/or when in-kind services exceed the

maximum grant amount. Organizations will be invoiced for any in-kind services

exceeding $2,500

Grant objectives

?Requests for funding must fall under one of the following categories:

?Energy sustainability

?Land stewardship

?Recreation projects

?Funding for annual cultural and/or historical events that are not capital projects but promote tourism and/or historical significance to Loyalist Township

?Heritage Preservation

?Economic/Business Development

?Municipal/community organization capital projects.

Deadline

Application Deadlines:

?Applications for the first funding period will be available the first Monday in the month of January and applications will be due no later than February 1 of the same year. Applications for the second period will be made available the first Monday in the month of May and due no later than June 1 of the same year.

Grant: Artists in Communities - Residencies.

Funder and Geography: SK Arts, Sask Lotteries, and Sask Culture- Canada: Saskatchewan.

Who can apply:

Eligible Applicants:

- The partnership between the Community Organization and Professional Artist must be in place prior to the submission.

- The Community Organization can be any incorporated for-profit company or non-profit community-based organization, e.g., businesses, institutions, health care, Justice facilities, municipalities, First Nations, Métis Locals, post-secondary institutions, artists collectives, Band Councils, etc.

- The Community Applicant must be based in the province of Saskatchewan, may make no more than one application to the Artists in Schools or Artists in Communities program at any submission deadline, and must be in good standing with SK Arts (i.e., have no overdue reporting on any prior grants) when the application is received, and any grant payments are issued.

- The Artist Applicant must be a Saskatchewan resident.

- The Artist Applicant must be in good standing with SK Arts (i.e., have no overdue reporting on any prior grants) on the application deadline date when the application is submitted and when any grant payments are issued.

- SK Arts values diversity, seeking to be inclusive and accessible to all applicants. For this reason, artist applicants are asked to self-identify with and organizations to engage with communities that may have been historically underserved by SK Arts or are otherwise considered marginalized (artists or communities outside urban settings, Indigenous, People of Colour, Deaf, disabled, 2SLGBTQ+, or newcomers to Canada). This helps the Foundation access whether the program is achieving its diversity goals.

Amount of Funding:

??The maximum funding available for a twelve-month residency is $45,000 (for northern communities, an additional $1,500 is available to cover higher travel costs). If the residency term is less than twelve months, the grant amount is pro-rated.

- ? A minimum of $35,000 of the $45,000 maximum must be used towards the artist’s salary. If the term is less than twelve months, then an artist’s salary of no less than $3,000 per month is expected.

Grant objectives:

?Artists in Communities – Residencies provides support for professional artists and communities to co-create residencies through their combined knowledge, skills and experience, and to:

?Produce innovative, creative residencies that are responsive to the community needs and have the potential for lasting impact, while allowing the artist to build knowledge, cultural competencies, and deeper relationships with Saskatchewan residents.

?Build awareness about social issues and facilitate change through the arts.

?Encourage the participation of resident artists from a wide variety of aesthetic viewpoints, racial and ethnic backgrounds, cultures, and disability perspectives, who will honor, uplift, and be inclusive of the host community.

?Ensure that the people of Saskatchewan have opportunities for deeper, active engagements with art while reducing the barriers for this type of experience in underserved and marginalized communities.

?Align with the mandate and strategic priorities of SK Arts and its program partners.
