GRANMA WINS BACK-TO-BACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

Granma defeated Las Tunas today in game seven of Cuba’s 57th National Baseball Series Championship. Las Tunas’ starter was off in the first two innings of game seven, but Granma was only able to score one run before he settled down. The game was close until the end, when Las Tunas left two men stranded on base, and lost 3-2. Las Tunas remains one of several teams in the Cuban league to have never won a national championship. Granma is now one of only two Cuban teams that have won back-to-back championships.
