TestBustersNight #58 Recap: Going Global and Thriving Together!

The 58th TestBustersNight, proudly sponsored by Testiny.io, was a resounding success and a testament to the growing global influence of the TestBusters community. With 86 participants tuning in from across the globe, this event marked another step toward TestBusters becoming a truly global brand (We’re already considering adding “Global Takeover” to our agenda for next year ??). From Vienna to Sweden, Belarus, Belgium, and beyond, the diverse audience brought rich perspectives and engaging discussions to the table.

Here’s a recap of the highlights and key takeaways from this memorable night:

Engaging Talks and Vibrant Discussions

1. Maryia Tuleika – Surviving and Thriving with AI in QA

Maryia set the tone with an insightful talk on how AI can complement QA practices without replacing the critical human elements of creativity and problem-solving. Her presentation was backed by real-world examples and practical strategies, but the moment that stole the show? Her story about her tech-savvy grandmother using AI to make her life easier! The chat lit up with laughter and admiration, proving that AI isn’t just for QA engineers—even grandmas are thriving with it! Perhaps she should be a guest speaker next time? ??

2. Isabelle Cosar – Front-End Performance Testing & Microservices

Isabelle captivated the audience with her company’s journey in optimizing Google Core Web Vitals and their impact on user experience. She also highlighted her team’s use of chaos engineering and accessibility testing to ensure reliability and inclusivity. Participants eagerly discussed tools and techniques, inspired by Isabelle’s hands-on approach to front-end performance.

3. Artem Golubev – Scaling QA with Generative AI

Artem introduced testRigor, demonstrating how it revolutionizes QA by reducing inefficiencies, automating test maintenance, and enabling faster test creation for web, mobile, and desktop applications using plain English. The audience was impressed by the simplicity and versatility of the approach, with many asking detailed questions about integrating AI into their existing workflows.

A Truly Global QA Community

The chat during the event reflected the global nature of the TestBusters community. Participants from various countries exchanged greetings and insights, troubleshooting technical issues together and sharing laughs along the way. From discussions about SLIDO access restrictions in Belarus to jokes about spouses outsmarted by ChatGPT, the lively interaction showcased the power of community and collaboration.

It was my first time yesterday, but it was awesome. Sometimes it was not easy to understand special things because testing is only one of my tasks in the role of an IT Business Analyst.
