Graduate Developer (Johannesburg)

Excellent opportunity for University Graduate to join a team of brilliant developers. Our client specialises in the design and implementation of sophisticated software using the latest Microsoft technologies and standards. Increased demand for their software sees this company needing to expand.

Our client prefers to appoint junior developers to provide valuable support to a team of senior developers whilst learning the ropes and continually improving their coding and development skills. As a junior developer you will gain knowledge and understanding of the full development life cycle while assisting with all functions of software design and development. Your focus will be to learn the codebase, gain domain knowledge, respond to requests from senior team members and provide support to the users. Responsibilities will include writing and maintaining code, working on minor bug fixes, monitoring the technical performance of the systems, responding to online requests, gathering information from clients about program functionality, writing reports and conducting development tests.

To apply you will need a BSc Computer Science, BCom Informatics, or B IT Degree with a strong academic record and a minimum of 60% for Mathematics in Matric. Your basic programming experience should include competency in C# (Data Structures & Algorithms), SQL, LINQ, HTML & CSS, JavaScript / Typescript, Angular / Blazor, ASP.Net Web API and knowledge of databases and operating systems.

The role will suit someone who has a good working knowledge of basic programming languages, the ability to learn new technologies quickly, is detail orientated and has the ability to apply logic, solve problems and work in a team environment.
