Gracious in awareness and courageous in thought
Each day I read this verse from John O’Donohue’s blessing For Matins, from Benedictus: A Book of Blessings
May I live this day
Compassionate of heart,
Clear in word,
Gracious in awareness,
Courageous in thought,
Generous in love.
And yesterday a friend sent me a link to a New York Times article that made my heart sing:
This insightful piece outlined the counter-intuitive approach of the prosecuting lawyer, Linda Dunikoski, in securing the conviction of those responsible for the killing of Armaud Arbery in Georgia, USA.
These days we need examples of quiet disruption to how our culture tells us we need to fight. The world is changing, and so can we.
~ I hope you can access this article. And you might wonder why today's image – take it as a positive view of the path ahead.
