Grace Talisay Fellowship 2019
I would like to thank beloved Pastor Joel Guilapay for inviting me to their 8th Church Anniversary this morning. It was such an awesome experience for I met a lot of brethren from the said church. I also saw old-time friends like Teacher Ching, Teacher Cris and Nanay Emma her mother who was close to me too. Sis Windie Quisada and Teacher Shiela who was a dear friend way back nursery days of Keisha at St. Paul. The opening prayer was led by Brother Val Canicula. Then, we had sung beautiful Christian songs namely: He is exalted and Forever grateful. There was a prayer of Thanksgiving given by Brother Rolando Rebusit who shared about Psalm 100. It is a Psalm for giving grateful praise to God Almighty Father for His good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations. Afterwards, there was the reading of GTF(Grace Talisay Fellowship) History by a couple named Brother Ransom and Marcia Garcia. Then, we sang Meekness and Majesty. Another touching moment was the testimony given by Mrs Joe Rebusit. She was also a teacher like me who had a difficult life but with God's grace, all her wishes were granted. She experienced a life-threatening situation yet God never ceased to make her feel His presence in all her circumstances. What struck me about was she having strong-willed as a mother, wife and a teacher rolled into one. Then, we had the prayer for the church and right after a special song number by GTF's married ladies. Pastor Joel introduced the speaker today. He was no other than Pastor/Dr Philip Bartolaba. He preached Isaiah 25:1, which says, O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. He was a good speaker because He was able to share his own experiences about his encounter with different organizations of police and schools in order others to know God in a personal way. He mentioned that in one of his visit to a school, there was a student who almost committed suicide but when he shared about John 3:16. The boy changed and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. After this, there was another special song number by a mother and a daughter. The mother was in her late 60's and the daughter was still young who played the guitar. She sang beautifully despite her age. Another presentation was rendered by the GTF's children. Then, a closing song entitled, "Jesus Thank you." We all prayed. Then, Pastor Joel called all the men of Grace Talisay Fellowship to be with him in front of his prayer of ordination to solemnize a wedding ceremony. And then, there was the recognition of the newly-baptized members. They were all called up on stage for the giving out of the certificate of Baptism. Then, there was a video played about recalling their journey through the years. Afterwards, we prayed again for the food to partake. I thank God for this rare opportunity that He has given me today. I am praying that He will be able to use my fullest potentials so I can give Him my all. God Bless us all. :)
