With the release of GPT-3 in 2020, OpenAI set a new standard for natural language processing with its unprecedented ability to generate coherent and contextually relevant text. As the largest language model to date, GPT-3 demonstrated a remarkable ability to understand and generate human-like language, but it also highlighted some of the limitations of current language models.
Microsoft Germany's CTO Andreas Braun disclosed in an interview that GPT-4 will have multimodal models, distinguishing it from its predecessor, ChatGPT, which is limited to text-based responses. The launch is expected to occur next week, according to reports.
What is GPT-4?
GPT-4, or Generative Pre-trained Transformer 4, will be the fourth iteration of OpenAI's GPT series. Like its predecessors, GPT-4 will be a large-scale neural network trained on vast amounts of text data to generate human-like language. However, GPT-4 is expected to be even more advanced than GPT-3, with more parameters, better language understanding, and higher-quality outputs.

Conclusion
GPT-4 is expected to be a significant advancement in the field of natural language processing, with more advanced features, better performance, and improved training data. While we don't yet know exactly what it will be capable of, it is clear that this next generation of language models has the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with language. From better chatbot interactions to more accurate translations and more natural language generation, GPT-4 could be the next big step towards human-like language understanding and generation.
