I just wrapped up an incredible week at Sunset Ridge Elementary in the Pendergast Elementary School District! Sixty-seven students participated in our field trip to Sun City Country Club. Once they complete their surveys with Coach Jason Weis, they’ll officially become GPS JR Golf members—entitled to free golf until high school graduation when accompanied by a paid family member.
Celebrating 50,000 Students Reached!
GPS has now introduced golf to over 50,000 students, and we’re celebrating a Community Fun Day on April 19! Join us for a free golf experience at Sun City Country Club—an opportunity for families to explore the game in a fun and welcoming environment.
A Decade of Impact
For 10 years, GPS Golf Program in Schools, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has been dedicated to introducing K -12 students to golf while teaching essential life lessons. Our program has expanded to eight school districts, reaching 132 schools. Through an engaging, in-school curriculum, we provide students of all backgrounds with an introduction to golf—building skills in perseverance, discipline, and teamwork.
One highlight of our journey is celebrating Sadie and Jenson, a brother-sister duo who embraced the sport together. Their shared experience has strengthened their bond and created new opportunities for their future.
Golf: A Game That Builds Character
At GPS, we see golf as more than a sport, it’s a platform for teaching focus, patience, and goal setting. Our 5-day, in-school curriculum helps students develop these essential skills, which benefit them academically, personally, and professionally.
We also offer students pathways to scholarships and career opportunities in golf, from coaching and management to sports marketing and beyond.
A Free Program for Every Student
GPS is completely free for students and schools. Our mission is to make golf accessible to all, regardless of background or financial status, ensuring every child has the chance to play and grow through the game.
Looking Forward
As we celebrate this milestone, GPS is focused on expanding nationwide, introducing golf to even more students, and empowering them with lifelong skills. We invite you to support our mission—whether by partnering with us, sponsoring a program, or simply spreading the word.
