GOVERNMENT WINS CONFIDENCE VOTE - HALLELUJAH!

GOVERNMENT WINS VOTE OF CONFIDENCE THE COALITION HAS SURVIVED WITH RELATIVE EASE THE VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE – REGARDLESS OF YOUR POINT OF VIEW there must be relief all round that SINN FEIN/ IRA DID NOT CLAIM THIS PARTICULAR SCALP –and they were hunting for scalps –but the real question is not what SIMON COVENEY said or did not say to the former minister, the real issue is what was Leo and the Blue SHIRTS up to? By any standards, Leo left his deputy straight in the line of fire and left his Taoiseach and the entire Government and Parliament at the mercy of a band of unscrupulous revolutionaries, mercenaries, terrorists and opportunists. Simon is shaken, not stirred, he has opted??not for the first time to take the Fall and to be captured between the devil and the deep blue sea. The irony is that while Foreign Minister Simon was meant to be chairing a meeting of the UN SECURITY COUNCIL on the 20th anniversary of 9/11 in which some 800 Irish-American First Responders from the New York Fire Department and 350 officers of the New York Police Department, were murdered by terrorists as they strove heroically to rescue the victims of the most terrible terrorist attack ever, he was being tripped up by a rabble of terrorists and fellow-travellers seeking to cash in on the ambivalence generated by his leader Leo in relation to text messages. Now you see them, now you don't, an ambivalence which only provides comfort to Gerry Adams and Mary Lou "They haven't gone away you know" On a more personal note, warmest congratulations to my old College friend the beautiful Miriam on becoming a grandmother and to her mother, the even more beautiful Miriam on becoming a great grand-mother! Hallelujah, hallelujah, I can hear Leonard Cohen sing!
