Government policy to help flooding
I've just spent another day away from my day job visiting businesses affected by the floods in York. I again encountered a really positive attitude from York business despite the damage done to their livelihoods.
Then I gereturned to the office and read the Government's response below. Instead of blue sky thinking or listening to professionals, just as with air quality policy, they look to "industry" for the solution, when they are often contributors to the problem.
I think I will be spending more time on flood relief in the future.
Better get ready for the Duke of York's visit! ;-)
