GOUGED! How To Tell a Business Their Payments are Eating Them Up...

We have seen bad. We have seen good. We have seen incredible. Our CEO, Will Black, started in this industry in January 2000, so it makes dating his career very easy when you start in the first month of the year, decade, century, AND millennia. 22 Years and counting makes him where he has seen much and it's hard to stump him.
But when we see a business being charged 3x the going rate, we sit up. In fact, our CFO, Mike Torrance, a full partner in the firm, walked this guy's rate down to Will's office to tell him. Most businesses just do not warrant that type of pageantry. The answer was simple.
"That can't be right..."
It was right. He double-checked. He triple-checked. Not hard, as the business sent us the wrong document. They didn't send us their monthly statement, but the Schedule of Fees from their contract. It had it there in print, way before their fees even had a chance to grow over time (called: Creep). Three times the normal rate.
This was used so their online business could sell a whopping $49 training package. So, imagine everyone in line is buying Girl Scout Thin Mints at $3 a box. $3, $3, $3, $3, $3, ...You're in line and see it over and over.
Your turn... $9. $9?!
Would you take that deal? If you would, please come over. We will hug you, as your self-worth is damaged. I'm talking old-fashioned electro-shock treatment damage.

THE REAL ISSUE, besides that, is how NOT to sound like a snake-oil salesman. In this world where news, social media, and everyone sells FEAR all day long, how do you tell someone it's really that bad?
We take the old blurt-out approach with little to no emphasis in our voices. We flat out say we hesitate to tell them, as it will sound snake oily, but they are in fact charged 3x the going rate. There is no mistake. It's the BASE fee, which means on a daily routine it will even go up from there. Then we say this simply, "You do not have to switch to us, but whatever you do, do not accept this."
Then we teach them how to calculate their own rate (imperfectly, but good enough to ballpark how their business is doing) in 90 seconds each month. Then we show them how to redirect a portion of the now legitimate fees to a charity they love, because it must follow the rule: Everything I Touch Gives.
