Gotta Catch Them All! A Guide to Collecting VeeFriends Spectaculars

The launch of VeeFriends Series 1 in May of 2021 included ultra-special tokens with rarities that soared above the rest —?Spectaculars. VeeFriends Spectaculars are true 1/1s, considered to be the holy grail token for each VeeFriends character. There are 6 total Spectacular types: Bubble Gum, Diamond, Gold, Hologram, Lava, and lastly Emerald which was first introduced in?Series 2. At the top of the rarity ladder, these Spectaculars are highly coveted and have become collectible throughout the growth and expansion of VeeFriends. This blog will highlight the various ways in which VeeFriends Spectaculars have made a splash in the IP and the unique options of how they can be collected!

VeeFriends Series 1: Released May 11th, 2021

These are the?inaugural and most premium collection of VeeFriends NFTs, and the?1/1 Spectaculars?are the most desirable rarity of them all. Out of the 10,255 tokens, there are only 1,175 Spectaculars. The 235 Admission characters each have 40 total tokens with the same rarity structure, broken down by background. Spectaculars are the top-tier token for every admission character, and have already begun to see exclusive benefits and utilities!

VeeFriends Series 2: Released April 18th, 2022

In the evolution of VeeFriends within Series 2, the entire character has now evolved and taken the form of that?Spectacular type in the competing pose. Out of the 55,555 tokens in the collection, only 1,500 are Spectaculars. The 1,175 Series 1 token-holders received their matching Spectacular as a free claim, and the brand new Emerald spectacular was announced and auctioned to the public. This was an exclusive benefit available to Series 1 Spectacular holders!

VeeFriends Iconics: Released August 19th, 2022

VeeFriends Iconics?is a collection of 1-of-1 NFTs featuring?VeeFriends Series 1 Spectacular?character in a signature fractured?WPAP style, hand drawn by veteran NFT artist?Gilang Bogy. During the evolution of VeeFriends, characters and poses clashed and competed against each other while forming the most coveted VeeFriends rarity — the 1 of 1 Spectacular. The intense clashing of the Spectacular characters in their competing poses created character fragments that ended up forming and minting VeeFriends Iconics. These 1,175 unique tokens were an additional surprise and were airdropped to all Series 1 spectacular holders.

There are 3 VeeFriends Spectacular NFTs for each character: Series 1, Series 2, and Iconics. Holders of Series 1 Spectaculars were eligible to receive the other two collections, making the complete set of three a truly unique and special collection!

VeeFriends UNO: Released December 17th, 2021

VeeFriends is all about community so it only made sense to partner with UNO, one of the most beloved games in the world to make a deck that features special gameplay cards that will bring some fun twists and turns to every game played! The most special card in each deck is one collectible foil Spectacular card!?VeeFriends UNO?features 17 characters in the collaboration, and each character can be found as a Spectacular card, with different tiers of rarity. These are the first cards VeeFriends had released, cementing a special mark in VeeFriends history!

VeeFriends Series 1 Collectible Cards: Released March 25th, 2022

This premium product features extremely limited, first-of-its-kind,?VeeFriends Trading Cards. This release features all 268 VeeFriends Series 1 characters in their original art, as well as one-of-a-kind sketch cards of the 15 new characters who made their debut in the VeeFriends Series 2 collection. The rarities of the cards mirror those of the Series 1 NFTs, adding a new dimension of physical collectability to the VeeFriends universe. Each character can be found in Core, Rare, Very Rare, Epic, and the 5 different spectacular 1/1s, plus a special 1/1 GaryVee auto card!

This set was created as the inaugural product for the launch of?zerocool, a brand by Fanatics Collectibles, focused on creating a trading card brand for culture by partnering with influential global icons and leaders across pop culture, art, and entertainment. VeeFriends was excited to collaborate with zerocool on the ground floor and expand collectability for all of the characters by entering the trading card scene.

VeeFriends Series 2 Compete and Collect Trading Cards: Released April 25th, 2022

As part of the Series 2 launch, for every NFT minted individuals were able to claim an accompanied?VeeFriends Compete and Collect Trading Cards box! The new VeeFriends collectible card game features every VeeFriends character in all different rarities. The ultimate chase cards include special foil 1/1 Spectacular cards for each of the 250 Series 2 characters (besides Gift Goat!) There are 6 total spectacular types per character, including the new Emerald spectacular!

Within the game, each character possesses a score from 50–75, and based on the card’s rarity, there is a multiplier applied to create their total score. The true rarity of these 1/1 Spectacular cards makes them the most powerful in the game, with a 300% score multiplier! BOOK GAMES: Released January 10, 2022

BOOK GAMES?is a collection of over 100,000 tokens that are burnable (forever!), the?rarities and designs?are all based on and developed around 5 original Spectacular types! The collection’s token artwork is hand-drawn by Gary and inspired by the VeeFriends “Just Art” category.
