Got Swag?
Play chess, not checkers. Here is why:
After completing four years of collegiate soccer in 2008, I decided to stick around and coach youth.
Surprisingly, the most common denominator among these kids was their lack of confidence. They were timid and shy. Great kids, but just did not have that extra spark.
One day at practice, I decided to switch things up. I brought sunglasses and explained how we were going to take turns passing the shades around. Each player got in the middle of the circle and put them on. It was at this very moment that something changed. I showcased a series of dance moves to kick off the session and the energy lifted. The kids got loose and had fun with it. They began to understand what swagger was all about.
People yearn for the key to their own swagger. Give them the chance to dance and let go of the fear. Be their lighthouse in the dark.
Control the narrative with confidence. Tell your clients you have a plan. Show them the plan. Teach them the plan. Be the plan.
For example, we teach our clients about the Total Cost Analysis and how much it impacts their financials. This Buyer’s Guide is a central focus throughout the homebuying process. They learn the value of having accurate, timely numbers as they search for their perfect home.
Give them the sunglasses – the confidence to do what they have never done before.
